If you are participating the in the Warm Nights Program and have not signed up for our list-serve, please visit us at http://groups.google.com/group/pghypothermia to join the list-serve. Please note, you must be on our coordinator's and church list to be accepted in the group. If you are not, your request will be rejected. If you'd like to add another member of your congregation to the list, please call Tom at CCSI to have the person added.

For those congregations participating in the Warm Nights Hypothermia Program, the following link will take you to the required Health Department Temporary Food service permit. Please remember to submit the permit right away and to begin calling the Health Department at least 2 weeks out to follow-up on your inspection. The Health Department typically won't come out until the week before you host to actually do the inspection.

GOVERNOR O’MALLEY TO JOIN CHRIS SAMUELS OF THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS TO UNVEIL MEDICAID EXPANSION AD CAMPAIGN
Ad Campaign Encourages Area Residents to Call 211 for Eligibility and Community Crisis Services, Inc. is answering the call.

Governor Martin O’Malley will join Chris Samuels of the Washington Redskins, local elected officials and healthcare advocates on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.,to unveil a new ad campaign to encourage eligible area residents to enroll in Maryland’s Medicaid Expansion, and to talk about the importance of President Obama’s healthcare reform plan.

The promotion is sponsored by the Maryland Health Care for All, AARP, and Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. Calls to 2-1-1 Maryland are being answered by Community Crisis Services, Inc. who will help determine if individuals and families are eligible for Maryland's state sponsored healthcare programs.

Individuals and families can see if they qualify for Medicaid Expansion programs by visiting the Maryland Medical Programs website.

You can also visit the Maryland SAIL website to see if they are eligible for other social service benefits such as medical assistance, food stamps, temporary cash assistance, and more.
